Meet our visionary Managing Director,
Thabo. He has a wealth of experience in
Platinum Group Metals mineral processing,
metallurgical training, and plant design,
holds a bachelor’s degree in Extraction
Metallurgy and Post graduate Diploma in
Business Administration. He is also a
qualified Training Practitioner with ODETDP
– Level 5. His leadership and forwardthinking
mindset is the drive behind what
keeps the team going and pushes us to
aspire to new heights within our company.
SIMON PHALANE
Operations Director
Meet our multi-faceted Operations
Director, Simon. He is very knowledgeable
with a Bachelor’s degree in Extraction
Metallurgy and a certificate in Advanced
mineral processing from one of the most
renowned universities in the country – UCT,
he also has a Project Management
qualification from Boston Business College.
He has held various positions in the
metallurgical industry with extensive
experience in platinum processing after
working in mineral processing plants,
smelters as well as the refinery of precious
metals. He is a qualified Facilitator, Assessor
and Moderator and his expertise extends
to both production and technical
environments and he uses his range of
experience and knowledge to ensure
operations run smoothly.

My name is Thapelo Mary Mokwele, a 2024 Graphic Design graduate from the Vaal University of Technology, began my internship at Kabelano Training Solutions on March 3, 2025. I am excited about this opportunity, as it allows me to apply my skills in a real-world setting.
